Albums

Before Toto was formed The members of the band performed session work for other musicians. In 1985, lead singer Fergie Frederiksen left the group, and the band held auditions for the new frontman. The band chose guitarist Steve Lukather, and recorded Fahrenheit in 1986.
In 1998, Toto celebrated its 20th anniversary by going through several old tapes and demos to release a special edition called Toto XX. The album was well-loved by fans and Toto embarked on an extensive tour with former members Bobby Kimball Steve Porcaro and Joseph Williams.
Shem von Schröck took over Leland Sklar as the drummer during the tour for the 40 Trips Around the Sun album. In 2017, Toto released a double-CD live set called Falling in Between, which included recordings from the tour and an interview with the band.

David Hungate, the drummer, also left the group after the tour. Leland Sklar took over his place.
